Woof Woof, raining cats and dogs at URSUS March 1, - 2012 Beginning March 2012 Ursus will be dividing the wall space of the gallery for 2D artist rental zones instead of doing rotating shows. Each zone will be a 25 square ft area and will rent at $25 for a 60 day period. The rental period states the day the works are delivered and the $25 feel is paid. The artist may bring in as many pieces that will fit properly within that space The gallery must first approve all art for hanging in the space and will do the display. Ursus reserves the right of refusal on works that are not appropriate for the space. The same artist may re-rent their space over and over, whoever the art work must rotate every 60 days. Once a piece has had a 60 day run it will be removed from the wall. Pieces must be removed from URSUS, by the artist within 21 days of expiration of their run or they will become the property of URSUS and the artist forfeits all rights to the piece, without exception. A 25% commission will be taken from the works as they are sold and the artists will be paid, minus the consignement fee, on the same gallery monthly rotation (the 11th of one month to the 10th of the next month- constitutes the rotation) as all other consigners. All state sales taxes are collected and paid by the gallery. Artists in the rental program abide by all the rules of the gallery per the consignement agreement. You may begin to contact URSUS starting November 15 th to reserve your space.
